EXPERIENCE
Private Art Instructor, PA, FL, CT, CA, NM, NY, 1983-continuously
Pennsylvania, Florida, Connecticut, California, New Mexico, New York, are places I have been teaching art privately. My art studio, and ways of seeing tutelage, consists of: drawing, painting, design, sculpture, instillations, creative movement, and new genre. Exploring the, impetus of the art making process, I find makes the most significant approach to teaching art. This fosters discovery deep within. I teach inspiration. I instill in my students to expand beyond the idea of who they are to a more quantum self.

(3.) Healing Hands Chiropractic, Mount Carmel, PA 2011
This is a considered redesign undertaking involving wall, ceiling, floor, and furniture, considerations. This is an active chiropractic massage healing center, in a small town, in PA. My design plan is to bring this establishment into the 21st century. Ancient Asian motifs’ with contemporary metropolitan flair, will engage a worldly timeless healing factor. The clinical science of chiropractics and a feel for the mysteries of healing acceptable in a small town, is the goal. To create a serene healing environment that can fit in anywhere.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My visual design sense comes from my origins. I dive into my root history, where it all began. As an altar boy growing up in the small town of Shamokin, Pennsylvania, I spent a lot of time in church. The Ukrainian Greek Catholic church, with its bright Byzantium gold and high design line took on great meaning for me. The intoxicating other worldliness fragranced with frankincense and myrrh drew me to line. Line gives me a sense of movement, which metaphors the movement of life. I get a sense of logic, my own logic.
The artwork I do is a synthesis of painting, installation, and sculpture. My art mainly consists of paintings on shaped canvases and sculptural components, which take on the intent of a spirituality.
Growing up in Pennsylvania, I was influenced by Western Art. San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA, is where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree (BA), in art studio. This place is where I learned an Eastern Art sensibility.
I completed my Master of Fine Arts degree (MFA), in studio art, in the “Arts and Consciousness” program at John F. Kennedy University, Berkley, CA.
So I have been blessed with two hemispheres in the approach to art. Art is something I am and not something I do.
New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe, NM - John Slade Eli House, New Haven, CT - Mexico City USA art exchange, Merchants Exchange Corporation, San Francisco, CA, and private collections in San Francisco, Santa Fe, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, and New York City, are some places that house my work in their permanent art collections.
Through my life experience and formal training as an artist, I continue to develop a personal spiritual experience, from the most profound levels of human consciousnesses.
This I find is the foundation for truly significant artwork. I believe in arts ability to transform, inspire, and be fun.
